PDO Mono Threads differ from the PDO Thread Lift, which has long barbed threads to lift tissues. However, they can still provide an improvement of fine lines and wrinkles by gradually stimulating your own natural collagen.
PDO Mono threads are short biodegradable filaments coated in a stimulatory material (PDO – polydioxanone).
PDO Mono Threads or short threads are designed to perform a revitalisation skin treatment, the treatment is beneficial for skin tightening, skin thickening and for globally stimulating collagen improving skin texture thus reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
Increased collagen & elastin is essential for firming and smoothing fine lines, wrinkles and 'crepey' skin on the face, neck and body.
The procedure consists of introducing multiple very gentle threads in an area with 2 actions in mind: a nice initial gentle tightening and a secondary improvement a few months later when the threads are replaced by collagen strands.
We can treat the following areas of the face and body with PDO Mono threads:-
Upper and lower cheeks
Neck and jaw line
Under eye area
Forehead and brows
Various areas of the body (arms, stomach, thighs etc)

Frequently asked questions
When will I see results from PDO thread treatment?
You will begin to see results around 4 weeks, which will continue to improve over the next 2 to 6 months as new collagen is produced. Although the threads will slowly dissolve, you may continue to see the treatment benefits for up to 12 months.
Which areas can be treated?
Suitable treatment areas: face, neck, chest, arms, abdomen, buttocks and above the knees.
What happens during a PDO thread treatment?
PDO threads are minimally invasive treatment and do not involve any incision or stitches. 30 minutes before beginning your treatment, a topical anaesthetic will be applied to the skin. Once the area is sufficiently numbed, the threads will then be inserted into the skin using a micro-needle or cannula in a mesh-like pattern to achieve maximum tightening effects.
